What is Microblading?
Microblading is a semipermanent makeup that is deposited into the skin with a sterile handheld tool and fine blade. Microblading creates hair-like strokes that simulates the most natural brows.

How long does it last?
Everyone is different when it comes to how quickly your microblading will fade. People with oily skin typically fade faster. Once you have completed your initial appointment and 6-8 week touch-up, I recommend a yearly refresher appointment. This ensures your brows keep a crisp hairlike look, however some people don’t need a refresher appointment for 2 years. Overtime (without touch-ups) your semi-permanent makeup may leave a soft haze of residual pigment behind.

Is it painful?
I use two separate numbing creams when microblading. An initial numbing cream sits on the skin for 25 minutes before the procedure. During the appointment I use a secondary numbing once there is open skin. Everyone varies a lot on the pain scale but I try to not have clients go above a 2-3 out of 10 on the painscale. I have also had clients fall asleep during microblading so everyone is very different. **microblading can be more painful during your period.

How is microblading different from powder brows or ombre' brows?
Ombre and powder brow procedures are done with a machine to place the pigment into the skin. This can create a bolder, more prominent brow. It really is personal preference to what people like more. I personally only perform Microblading because I think it creates a very natural look.

How long is the healing process?
The healing process lasts 12-14 days. During this time you must keep the brows totally dry, and sweat free. The first 5 days your brows will be very dark, then they will start to scab off and lighten up. It is crucial that they stay dry and left alone. During the 14 days you can’t pick at your brows or scratch them.
